Synopsis

For decades, Africa’s largest silver mine has been extracting water from various villages in Morocco. Since 2011 the villagers of Imider have been fighting for their livelihoods and have shut down the mine’s water pipe. Eight years later, they sing while reaping the fruits of their militancy. A film that addresses water justice as the fundamental right of all people and solidarity as a necessary tool to defend it.
