Susana Schnarndorf is a professional Brazilian swimmer and mother of three, diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy, a fatal brain disease. In 2013, defying her medical prognosis, Susana initiates the training for a spot in the Paralympic Games. However, this means leaving her kids behind and coping with other troubling family issues. A Day for Susana inquires into the lonesome quest of one woman who is confronted with a dire choice between her personal liberty and a devotion to family in the midst of the race for survival.
