As an example, Curry chooses the arrest of environmental activist Daniel McGowan of the Earth Liberation Front, which took place as part of large-scale raids in the autumn of 2005. For the FBI, the group was the number one domestic terrorist threat. For in order to raise awareness to the connections between economic profit and ecological destruction, the members of the ELF fall back on drastic means to sabotage industrial facilities. The film, in part a modern fairy tale, and in part a gangster thriller, raises difficult questions about effective changes to the conditions prevailing inside and outside the system and the altered terms of revolutionary movements in a world which brands dissidents as terrorists.
