Ten years ago, the report of a climber in the Himalayas led director and author Maria Blumencron to Tibet for the first time to make a documentary about Tibetan refugee children at the 6,000 meter high border pass between China and India. In spring 2009, for the production of the feature-length documentary film Good Bye Tibet, Mary Blumencron returned again to the border pass. It is the story of the fate of six Tibetan refugee children, the life story of the legendary mountain guide Kelsang Jigme, the story of imprisonment and torture, the story of a soul family. Ten years of fate mirror the dreams, strength and hope of a people who have never before been so threatened with extinction.
